Events:

There are Four events available at the Petone Shoe Clinic Splash and Dash.

Registration for all events takes place at the Heretaunga Boat Club on Petone Esplanade. Registration opens at 5.30pm and closes at 6.40pm. All participants must register and attend the event briefing.

Swim Only - You can enter the Swim Only competition. In this event you will swim a 500m swim course marked with swim bouys. There will be an Inflatable Rescue Boat on the water for you safety and there will be separate mens and women’s waves. Your event will start at 6.35pm and will cost $15.00.

Fun Run - You can enter the Fun Run or Walk. In this event you can run  or walk on a 5km or 3km course on Petone Esplanade. You will be chip timed and the course will be accurate, providing you with an exact time for your distance. Your event will start at  6.40pm and will cost $10.00.

Splash and Dash - In this event you will swim 500m and run 3km. These two activities will be performed consecutively, with no break in between. You will follow the swim courses and run courses described in the above events. Your event will start at 6.35pm and will cost $15.00.

Novice - For those of you who are just starting out or just returning to sport we have the Novice Event. In this event you will swim a short 100m swim course followed by a 2.5 km Run. Your event will start at 6.30pm and will cost $15.00.

Entry:

Enter Online or on the night - you can enter the events online here or come down to Petone Esplanade and enter at the Heretaunga Boat Club. Registration starts at 5.30pm and closes at 6.20pm. You must register and pick up your timing chip even if you have entered online.

Waiver Form - you must complete a waiver form the first time you race for the season. To save time you can download the form here and bring it along with you the first time you race. Online entries complete the waiver during the online entry process.

Cancellations - The events will run whatever the weather, we have alternative and safe swim courses available if the harbour is very rough.
