      <title>Week 18 - Event Day!!!!</title>

I must have completed a triathlon!&lt;br/&gt; &lt;br/&gt;My Number one supporter (My Daughter) and key member of the support crew has gone for a nap. Not sure how that worked? I thought that privilege was for me (perhaps it had something to do with the night before!).&lt;br/&gt; &lt;br/&gt;I am very happy it is over but at the same time I am sorry, as I really have had a wonderful experience. The day ran like a well oiled machine with smiling faces everywhere and lots of encouragement from everyone. &lt;br/&gt; &lt;br/&gt;I felt like the swim was long but we couldn't have asked for better conditions. I was pretty dizzy and nauseous when I got out of the water which led to a little fall at transition. However, with a bit of help(from number one supporter) I was away on my bike. It was pouring down, but there was no head wind so I didn't care. At one stage,(well, actually for most of the ride) huge numbers of riders with very skinny tyres all passed me and I felt like I was going backwards. Then I remembered  why I was doing this and Who I was doing it for.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;My run felt very slow to start with and I thought as I turned on to the track that I may not make it without having to walk at bit. Something, somewhere kicked in and I MADE IT.&lt;br/&gt; &lt;br/&gt;I did the triathlon for two people. Firstly myself, to re gain some confidence lost after a major car accident and to feel more like the &amp;quot;old Jo&amp;quot; again. I can honestly say It has done that for me. My challenge now is to keep up the good work I have started. The second person was my cousin who visited me when I was recovering, telling me about her training for the masters games. We discussed then, that when I got better we would attempt the KWT together. Sadly ,Kirsty died the next year so we  didn't achieve it together, but today's run was for Kirsty. All the more reason to not put off till tomorrow what could be achieved today.&lt;br/&gt; &lt;br/&gt;Lastly, a big thank you to every one of the supporters of the KWT.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;To KWT team for giving me the scholarship and all it entailed. I will be back next year. (it's a bit dangerous putting that in writing).&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;To Lynley and the Saturday Morning girls, What a great bunch of women. I will miss You all.  Val, who improved my swimming technique, encouraged me to train and told me to wear racing togs!!!&lt;br/&gt;Andrew, who was constantly encouraging, made me laugh and improved my fitness ten fold. I have fallen in love with the gym!!!! Thank you City Fitness.  Megan who encouraged me to eat correctly and was there every Saturday and Wednesday nights encouraging us all.  Evelyn, who every Sunday had to receive and transcribe my blogs.&lt;br/&gt; &lt;br/&gt;Thank you to Scent Floral Boutique for the magnificent bouquet of flowers. What a surprise, I should have been giving out the flowers.&lt;br/&gt; &lt;br/&gt;See you all next year.&lt;br/&gt;Jo-Anne&lt;br/&gt;</description>
